Cannondale Pro Cycling has added a French rider to its 2014 team roster.

Earlier today Cannondale Pro Cycling revealed its team roster for 2014.

On a day that saw his team captain bow out of the 2013 Vuelta a Espana because of hypothermia, Daniele Ratto (Cannondale) salvaged the race for his team. The Italian was the sole survivor of a daylong break in the cold and rain, winning Stage 14, a mountainous, 155.7-km ride from Baga, Spain to Collada de la Gallina, Andorra in 4:24:00. Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) finished second at 3:53, and Chris Horner (RadioShack-Leopard) took third at 3:55. Nibali has tightened his grip on the red jersey.

American Tejay van Garderen won the USA Pro Cycling Challenge on Sunday, finishing in the main pack in the final stage to complete a sweep of the two biggest races in the United States.

Slovakia's Peter Sagan recovered from intestinal problems to race to his third stage victory in the 2013 USA Pro Cycling Challenge, and American Tejay van Garderen kept the overall lead Saturday with one day left in the seven-stage event, which takes place in Colorado.

Peter Sagan continued his stellar season with a two-length win and assumed the lead Monday after the opening stage of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

Before today, Peter Sagan (Cannondale) had finished second in three stages of this year’s Tour de France. Today, however, the Slovak broke through. Sagan took a bunch sprint to win Stage 7, a hilly, 205.5-km ride from Montpellier to Albi, in 4:54:12. John Degenkolb (Argos-Shimano) finished second, and Daniele Bennati (Saxo Bank-Tinkoff) took third. Daryl Impey (Orica-GreenEdge) remains the maillot jaune.
