The 2013 Tour de France is history. It ended as it began a seeming eon ago on Corsica, with Marcel Kittel (Argos-Shimano) dusting the field. The German took a bunch sprint to win Stage 21, a flat, 133.5-km run from Versailles to Paris, in 3:06:14.

Quintana Climbs to Victory in Stage 20 of Tour de France

Nairo Quintana (Movistar) has won Stage 20 in the Tour de France and obtained second place on the podium in Paris. The Colombian surged away from Chris Froome (Sky) in the last km to win the mountainous, 125-km ride from from Annecy to Annecy/Semnoz in 3:39:04. Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) finished second at 0:18, and Froome took third at 0:29. Froome is the maillot jaune and is poised to win the race when it ends in Paris tomorrow.

Costa Wins Stage 19 of Tour de France

Rui Costa (Movistar) has won his second stage of this year’s Tour de France and the third of his career. The Portuguese rider surged away from Pierre Rolland (Europcar) and soloed home to win Stage 19, a mountainous, 204.5-km ride from Bourg d’Oisans to Le Grand-Bornand, in 5:59:01. Andreas Kloeden (RadioShack-Leopard) finished second at 0:48, and his teammate Jan Bakelants finished third at 1:44. Chris Froome (Sky) remains the maillot jaune.
