Team BMC Racing's Greg Van Avermaet finally took his first victory of the season earlier today with an uphill surge on the cobblestoned finish climb of the Muur van Geraardsbergen in stage 5 of the 2014 Eneco Tour of Benelux.

Lars Boom maintained the overall race lead in this year's Eneco Tour after today's stage 4 from Koksijde, which was won by FDJ's Nacer Bouhanni. The Belkin-Linksys rider still holds a four-second lead over Giant-Shimano’s Tom Dumoulin after the stage finish in Ardooie, Belgium.
