Team Visma-Lease a Bike Reveals Roster for Tour de France 2025
Dutch Team Visma-Lease a Bike has revealed its rider line-up for the 2025 Tour de France. The second Grand Tour of the season will commence in Lille on July 5 and Visma-Lease a Bike will be sending a strong team and has great ambitions for Le Tour.
Team Visma-Lease a Bike’s Tour de France line-up will be spearheaded by Jonas Vingegaard, who has won the Tour de France general classification on two occasions. The Dane will be starting the 2025 Tour in strong form after a determined and successful build-up phase that included participation in Criterium du Dauphine in which he finished second behind winner Tadej Pogacar. Pogacar is also expected to be the main challenger and grand obstacle in the Tour de France.
Vingegaard will be supported by a strong team roster, which also includes Simon Yates of Great Britain, American Sepp Kuss, Victor Campenaerts, Edoardo Affini, Tiesj Benoot, and not lease Wout van Aert. The Visma-Lease a Bike line-up also includes American rider Matteo Jorgenson earlier this week extended his contract with Team Visma-Lease a Bike through the 2029 season.
The riders in the line-up have been carefully selected to provide the optimal support for Vingegaard in the terrains and territories of the 2025 Tour de France. The roster also will also provide ample opportunity for selected riders to aim for stage victories in stages, where team captain Vingegaard will not be exposed at the front of the race.
The team says it has an optimal preparation phase behind it and there will be no excuses for not achieving a top result in this year’s Tour.
Team Visma-Lease a Bike has also announced it has signed Nike as new sportswear supplier for the remainder of this season and the coming years. All apparel worn by its riders off the bike will be supplied by Nike. Nike also sponsored cycling teams during the very successful Lance Armstrong years.
Team Visma-Lease a Bike has also revealed new team jerseys, which feature its Rabobank sponsor logo in a more prominent position as the bank increases its investments in cycling sponsorships.
