Bradley Wiggins, the three-times Olympic track champion who finished fourth in this year's Tour de France, will ride in the Tour of Britain next month, organisers said on Monday.
The 29-year-old, who equalled the best performance by a Briton in the Tour de France, will ride with his Garmin team in the British race that begins on Sept. 12 and ends in central London a week later.
Spain's Olympic road race champion Samuel Sanchez and Belgian Frederik Veuchelen are also confirmed for the event that will serve as a warm-up for the world road championships in Switzerland later in September.
