Quick Step's Jurgen Van De Walle Exits Tour de France 2009
Jurgen Van De Walle won’t be at the start of tomorrow's 3rd stage of the Tour de France 2009 due to the consequences of his crash in today's stage 2 of the Tour.
After the stage Van De Walle was immediately transported to the Hopital-Nord in Marseille where he was diagnosed with a post traumatic-pneumothorax to his right lung and a fracture to his left collarbone.
As a precautionary measure, the Team Quick Step rider will remain in the Hospital under observation.
