Organizers of the Tour of Missouri say the international cycling race likely won't be held in a few months because of renewed uncertainty over state funding.

The 2010 race is - or was - scheduled to run Aug. 31 through Sept. 6.

State lawmakers awarded the race $1 million from the Division of Tourism. But the agency faces deep budget cuts and wants to use the $1 million on other projects.

Missouri Tourism Commission chairwoman Marci Bennett says the state money will not be put toward the race.
