Giro d’Italia organizer RCS Sport shortens stage 13 for increased rider safety

POC and Volvo Cars will present the exciting first results of their partnership at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas from January 6-9, 2015 with a unique safety technology that connects drivers and cyclists for the first time ever.

Today POC, a manufacturer of cycling helmets and glasses, announced it has partnered with Volvo Car Group of Sweden to develop new ideas to fuel safety and design innovation helping to further protect cyclists in traffic.

British Cycling’s Policy Adviser, Chris Boardman, has written to the Mayor of London Boris Johnson to ask him to put into action his promise to look at removing the most dangerous lorries from the British capital’s roads during the busiest times. Other European capitals are also failing to protect cyclists.
