2013 Tour de France to Start on Corsica
Tour de France organizer A.S.O. have announced the Tour de France will start in Corsica for the 100th edition of the race in 2013.

It will be the first time the Tour de France visits the French island.
Remarkably Corsica is the only region of France, apart from overseas territories, that has never hosted any part of the Tour.
According to A.S.O. details concerning the first stages will be announced on December 6.
French regional daily Corse Matin is reporting the first three stages of the 2013 Tour de France will specifically visit Porto-Vecchio, Calvi, Bastia and Ajaccio before the Tour caravan returns to mainland France.
