World champion and Norwegian God of Thunder Thor Hushovd won the fourth stage of the Tour of Switzerland 2011 earlier today and Damiano Cunego of Italy retained the overall lead.

Hushovd edged stage 3 winner Peter Sagan (Slovakia) of Team Liquigas-Cannondale to clock 4 hours, 46 minutes, 5 seconds for the 200 kilometer/123-mile trek from Grindelwald to Huttwil.

Italy's Marco Marcato of Team Vacansoleil won a mass sprint for third place, trailing Hushovd by two seconds.

The 33-year-old Norwegian got his first victory since winning the road race gold at the worlds last October in Geeelong, Australia.

Team Lampre's Damiano Cunego retained his 54-second lead overall ahead of Colombian Juan Mauricio Soler of Team Movistar.

Tomorrow's fifth stage of the 2011 Tour de Suisse is a 130-mile route from Huttwil to Tobel-Taegerschen.
