The Spaniard completed the 4.2-mile time trial around Evian-les-Bains on Sunday in 8 minutes, 34 seconds. American Tejay Van Garderen of Team HTC-Columbia was the runner-up, two seconds behind. Team Radioshack's Janez Brajkovic (Slo) finished third.
Contador has already won three races this season: Tour of Algarve, Vuelta de Castilla and Leon and Paris-Nice.
On Monday, all riders cover 191 kilometers from Evian-les-Bains to Saint-Laurent-du-Pont. The race ends Sunday in Sallanches, France.
