MissionWorkshop The Vandal Backpack Review
Roadcycling.com reviews MissionWorkshop's The Vandal backpack.
At first glance, the size and shape of MissionWorkshop's The Vandal cargo backpack reminded me of a paper grocery bag from the past. I got to the cashier and it was time to check it out.
Biking, beach, or barbeque, the Vandal is versatile! Its light weight and its style is a great way to start the day and it can expand as you go! Commute to work on your bike while carrying your work clothes and have room for lunch. You can head to the beach using the Vandal to carry your snorkeling gear. Pick up a Hibachi on the way home for the barbeque. The Vandal is an efficient accessory for biking, traveling, or just hanging out. It seemingly has no limits!
The divided compartments kept me organized. Forget about being waterproof, MissionWorkshop states it is "stormproof." I would bet you could go through a car wash while wearing the Vandal and the contents of the bag would stay dry. Even the zippers are coated to block moisture. Made in America construction with a lifetime warranty tells you how confident MissionWorkshop is about their products.
Features I liked the most were its lightweight, large compartments, and versatility (even my racquetball racquet will fit in). It was rigid without a heavy frame. One of the compartments had an internal bag which I found useful for dirty or wet items. If the pack got dirty, you could rinse it out with a hose. The cavernous interior is complimented by the small exterior compartments for your phone, keys, etc. The only thing I had to dig for was my water bottle. An interior or exterior pouch would have enabled me to find it a bit quicker. All in all, the Vandal's durability and versatility will take me wherever I go!
