Dave's Dogmatic Dribbles
2005 Tour de France - Stage 13
Euskaltel-Euskadi, Euskaltel-Euskadi, Euskaltel-Euskadi!! There, I said it. I couldn?t wait anymore. I haven?t had the opportunity to say their name the whole Tour and it was killing me! It?s one of the coolest team names in the sport. I know, I know, I should focus on more meaningful matters that will be more beneficial to Roadcycling.com readers.
Sorry guys. I guess this is what happens when I did a little too much celebrating yesterday in honor of Bastille Day!
Ya know what; I need to have a guest commentator or something while I try to recover. Any volunteers? Anyone seen Sheryl?
Oh yeah, the Tour. There are five guys in a break. They are Voeckler, DaCruz, Flecha, Ludovic, and Horner. Could the French win two stages in a row? Or, maybe, an American? Hey look, Horner and Chavanel are now paired up. They are just going to be targets for the sprinters. Not bad though, they hung on until a few hundred meters to go.
McEwen gets a good lead out by Rodriguez and this is a hot sprint! There was a little movement and Robbie is the winner. O?Grady is 2nd. Chavanel then complains about Horner not doing enough to help him win. What an ungrateful @(*#@#(.
So, was today more boring than yesterday? The finish was better today. Tomorrow will keep us on the edge of our seats. Ok, have to sign off now, turning it over to Sheryl...
