Moreau Wins Stage 5 of Four Days of Dunkirk

Christophe Moreau (Credit Agricole) has tightened his hold on the Four Days of Dunkirk.

Christophe Moreau (Credit Agricole) has tightened his hold on the Four Days of Dunkirk. Moreau won this morning's 19-km individual time trial between Gravelines and Sivom de l'Aa in 23:05. Robert Bartko (Rabobank) finished second at 0:25, and Didier Rous (Brioches La Boulangere) took third at 0:26.

The course was flat, and Moreau rode steadily over it. He extended his overall lead over Rous to 0:29, a margin that Rous will probably not make good in the afternoon's road race stage.

In the overall, Moreau leads Rous by 0:29 and Laurent Brochard (Ag2r), who finished fifth this morning at 0:38, by 1:19. This afternoon's sixth and final stage will be a flat, 96.1-km road stage from Gravelines to Dunkirk. Will the Credit Agricole rider hang on to win?
