Pat McQuaid: UCI Not Contacted
International Cycling Union president Pat McQuaid says the governing body has not been contacted by U.S. authorities investigating cheating in professional cycling.
International Cycling Union president Pat McQuaid says the governing body has not been contacted by U.S. authorities investigating cheating in professional cycling.
He added the subject is not on the agenda at its anti-doping congress in Australia next week.
McQuaid says that the UCI is "not currently actively involved" in the American case.
The wide-ranging investigation has in part centered around Lance Armstrong and his associates after disgraced rider Floyd Landis admitted his own doping four months ago and alleged that Armstrong's former teams used banned drugs.
