Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong has given French President Nicolas Sarkozy a new bike, complete with red-white-and-blue detailing to match the country's flag.

Armstrong met with Sarkozy in Paris on Monday and then posted photos of his gift -- a Trek Madone -- on his Twitter account.

The French president signed his name on the frame of the bike, which also had the Livestrong logo of Armstrong's cancer charity foundation. Armstrong wrote that Sarkozy "loves the sport of cycling."

Armstrong says the meeting also included his girlfriend Anna Hansen, Team RadioShack sporting director Johan Bruyneel and French TV personality Michel Drucker.
