Australian rider Heinrich Haussler has won the second stage of the 2011 Tour of Qatar and barely missed taking the yellow jersey from Tom Boonen of Belgium by just one second.

Haussler, of Castelli-sponsored Team Garmin-Cervelo, edged past Daniele Bennati of Team Leopard-Trek and Denis Galimzyanov of the Katusha team to win the 135.5-kilometer (84-mile) stage from the Camel Race Track to the Doha Golf Club in 3 hours, 4 minutes, 3 seconds.
The first 97 riders all registered the same time.
Three-time Tour of Qatar champion Tom Boonen, sixth in today's stage, has the overall lead by 1 second over Haussler and 4 seconds ahead of another Australian, Mark Renshaw with Team HTC-HighRoad.
