Team Astana's Alberto Contador clinched his third Vuelta de Castilla and Leon title by finishing safely in the pack in the race's fifth and final stage.
Portuguese rider Sergio Ribeiro won the 171.6-kilometer (106.6-mile) stage from Samos to Santiago de Compostela on Sunday, with Astana's Contador doing all that was required to claim the title.
Igor Anton finished second overall, 41 seconds behind Contador, while Ezequiel Mosquera took the third podium position, 39 seconds further back.
Contador is the first rider to win the event three times. It was the two-time Tour de France winner's third road-race victory of the year, after triumphing in the Paris-Nice and Vuelta ao Algarve events.
