Finding the right saddle can often be a bit of trial and error but we've found Fi'zi:k's Aliante to be quite agreeable for many cyclists. Those who have used it and it works for them swear by it and it becomes their go-to saddle for decades. The "Open" moniker refers to the central cutout allowing for pressure reduction on your perineum. The R1's shell is constructed from carbon-injected nylon to save weight while allowing for a bit of give over rougher roads.
