There are really only a handful of products that come to mind if you're looking to drop some serious grams without compromise, and brakes aren't somewhere where tradeoffs are an option. It's outright stopping power meets and often exceeds that from its competitors while packing in a ton of modulation and of course, dropping grams, sometimes half of that from its competitors in the process. The eeBrakes are well-renowned as some of the lightest and most powerful rim calipers on the market and unlike some weight-weenie options, they actually work. The calipers feature an exotic build of high-grade aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel bits and along with its unique design, boasts impressive strength and stiffness that account for that increased modulation and braking power. The cable runs into the caliper at the center top, which eeBrakes calls Cross Cable Path, rather than on the side as found on others. This cleans up the aerodynamics and improves the mechanical advantage and leverage so the brakes don't trouble the wind and pack more bite. The patented Link pad travel proportioning system is revised and now adds resistance, making centering the pads on the rim quick and tool-less. Also, the Quick Strut release system allows the caliper to open up and clear up to 31mm tires on with ease. This eeBrakes G4 Direct Mount Caliper Brake is compatible with Shimano-style brake pads, frames using the direct mount standard, and Shimano, Campagnolo, and SRAM road levers. It's worth noting that the brake pad installation and removal are also tool-free, however, pads are not included, which isn't that big of a deal since almo...
