After focusing on longer travel bikes in recent years, Yeti is back with their beloved XC pocket rocket, the ASR. Redesigned to be faster, lighter, and more capable than ever, the ASR is the lightest full-suspension bike Yeti has ever produced. An updated Flex Stay suspension system brings us XC racing-focused suspension performance that transforms our energy into forward momentum while providing exceptional bump sensitivity and traction. Designed around a push sag setting, a linear progression rate, and a custom-tuned RockShox SidLuxe 3-position rear shock, the ASR is efficient at sprinting and climbing and can still handle whatever a modern XC course offers. A 66. 5-degree head tube angle paired with a forward-biased position ensures an evenly weighted bike for agile handling. The low bottom bracket height gives us a plated feel through corners while not being too low that trail obstacles pose a risk, and the 75. 5-degree seat tube angle gives us a centered position over the pedals for efficiency on technical climbs. The ASR received a weight loss plan from the start, featuring a unique carbon layering process that maximizes strength and stiffness while also removing excess material to save weight without sacrificing strength. In addition, size-specific carbon layups optimize frame material for the ideal stiffness for every sized frame, and a refined rear axle and suspension linkage reduce excess material for more weight savings, giving us an incredibly lightweight four-pound frame with the rear shock. The finishing touches on the ASR include two water bottle mounts inside the front triangle, tubed internal cable routing with dedicated suspension lockout routing, an integrated rear mud fender, integrated downtube protection that doubles as a cable access door, an integrated and optional chain guide, and a SRAM UDH derailleur hanger.
