Tyler
, you will race for the Phonak team for first time this coming weekend. What are your feelings about racing for Phonak for the first time? <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

I am really excited about it and I can?t wait to race again. Well?I haven?t been racing since august. The first race is always a bit difficult but I?m very excited to be there with the team.

How did you prepare for the season start?

I trained a lot and a lot. I am very focused on the training and I did really serious work. I have been a long time in the altitude (
Colorado
). That was very good for my fitness.

Did you get the chance to prepare yourself in the way you wanted to do?

I?m very happy with my training. I sure have not reached the top level yet but I?m on a good way. I did a lot of base training but the peak is still far away.

The Phonak team has had one victory so far this year. Alexandre Usov won the last stage of the Vuelta a la Comundad Valenciana. How do you rate the season start as team leader?

It has been ok. I prefer it that way. There are teams which are very good in February and then you won?t hear anything the rest of the year. It will be different with the Phonak team. We can only get a lot better!

In regards to the Paris-Nice race which begins this weekend. What are you expecting of yourself?

Well it?s my first race. I have not raced in such long time and I?m not really expecting a lot. I?m just excited. And I will work hard for the team because I?m very proud to be on it.

What are your goals for the race?

I?ll help the team as good as I can. I will stand behind the riders. It doesn?t matter who will be the team leader of the race, I?ll work for him. The most important thing is to represent the team.

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us. Good luck at Paris-Nice!

Thank you.
