Product Review: Race Day DVD
Get your adrenaline going in more ways than one!
Talk about getting your adrenaline going in more ways than one! realRides has produced a first person training/race video. <?xml:namespace prefix = o /?>
Actually, the intent of Race Day is a training video but the first time I watched it, I was more interested in the race. Of course, I now know who wins so the excitement has subsided a bit.
What hasn?t subsided is the unique perspective of the video. You are essentially on the bike with Robbie Ventura. Your TV screen has ?gauges? that provide all the heart rate, cadence, power output, etc info that you would ever want to know. Sometimes it was hard to decide what info to pay attention to.
There is more than just the race itself. As with anything you should do, a warm up and cool down segment is included. You can select to do more than one segment to customize your own workout. The commentary by Robbie is informative and accurate. He is able to relate to the viewer in a casual, sincere manner.
There are segments that have nothing to do with riding your trainer but were still interesting. Also, the ?real time? point of view that makes it unique creates its own distractions with people walking into the camera shot.
realRides is different and entertaining. Dust off your trainer and pop this baby in your DVD player. It beats Computrainer by a long shot.
