Taylor Phinney Wins Under 23 Men's Time Trial at 2010 UCI Road Cycling World Championships

Taylor Phinney (USA) wins Under 23 men's time trial at UCI Road Cycling World Championships ahead of Luke Durbridge (Australia) and Germany's Marcel Kittel.

Taylor Phinney (USA) wins Under 23 men's time trial at UCI Road Cycling World Championships ahead of Luke Durbridge (Australia) and Germany's Marcel Kittel.

Taylor Phinney of the United States confirmed his pre-race favoritism by winning the men's under-23 time trial in the opening event of the 2010 World Road Cycling Championships on Tuesday.

Phinney completed the 31.8-kilometer course at Geelong in Victoria state in 42 minutes, 50.29 seconds, shading Australian Luke Durbridge by less than two seconds in Wednesday's race. Germany's Marcel Kittlel was third place in 43 minutes, 14 seconds, four seconds ahead of Nathan Oliveira of Portugal.
