The four official race jerseys of the 2012 Giro d'Italia were revealed in Milan yesterday.
The four official race jerseys of the 2012 Giro d'Italia were revealed at the Just Cavalli Cafè in Milan yesterday. The presentation was attended by editor of La Gazzetta dello Sport Andrea Monti, CEO of Giro d'Italia organizer RCS Sport Giacomo Catano, General Manager of RCS Sport Michele Acquarone, and former top sprinter Mario Cipollini.
The Giro race leader's pink jersey - commonly referred to as the Maglia Rosa - is sponsored by Estathè again this year and protected by Italian actress Giorgia Wurth, who is also the official face of the 2012 Giro d'Italia.
While the points classification jersey will remain red, replacing the green mountain jersey is the blue Mediolanum mountains classification jersey (Maglia Azzurra).
The young rider with the highest position in the overall rankings will get the privilege of wearing the white jersey, which is sponsored by fruit manufacturer F.lli Orsero.
